About Axarquía Property Services
We are a Dutch renovation and property maintenance company based in Cómpeta, in the heart of the Axarquía. We help homeowners throughout the region and along the Costa del Sol renovate, maintain, and improve their properties, with the reliability, precision, and clear communication that international owners expect and too rarely find.
Who are we?
Axarquía Property Services was founded by Dutch professionals who brought years of hands on renovation experience from the Netherlands to southern Spain. We understand both worlds: the warmth and character of Andalusian homes, and the standards that Dutch, Belgian, British, and other international owners hold their contractors to.
We are not a large anonymous company. We are a close knit team that takes your project personally. From the first conversation to the final handover, you deal with the same people throughout.
We speak Dutch, English, and Spanish, which means we can communicate directly with you and with local suppliers and authorities without anything getting lost in translation.
Why renovating in Spain is different, and why that matters.
Renovating a property in Spain comes with its own set of challenges. Older fincas and village homes often have non standard construction, hidden damp, outdated plumbing, or electrical systems that do not meet modern requirements. Outdoor spaces need materials and finishes that can handle intense heat, UV exposure, and seasonal temperature changes.
Add to that the language barrier, unfamiliar local regulations, and the difficulty of finding a contractor you can actually trust, and it is easy to understand why so many international homeowners feel uncertain about where to start.
That is exactly the gap we fill.
We know the Axarquía, its villages, its building traditions, and its practical realities. We combine that local knowledge with a working method rooted in Dutch standards: thorough preparation, honest communication, careful execution, and a finish that lasts.
What we do.
We handle renovation and maintenance projects of all sizes, from a single repair to a complete property transformation. Our core strength is total renovation: taking a home from its current state and rebuilding it from the inside out, managing every trade under one roof so you never have to coordinate multiple contractors yourself.

How we work.
Every project starts with a conversation. We visit the property, listen to your plans, and give you honest advice on what is realistic, what it will cost, and how we would approach it. We then put together a clear proposal with no vague estimates or hidden surprises.
During the work, we keep you informed with regular updates and photos. For clients who live abroad or are not on site, this is especially important. You always know what is happening, even when you are not there.
Our goal is simple: to make your renovation as smooth, clear, and worry free as possible, and to hand over a result you are genuinely proud of.
Where we work
We are based in Cómpeta and active throughout the Axarquía, including Canillas de Albaida, Árchez, Sedella, Canillas de Aceituno, Salares, Alcaucín, Arenas, Sayalonga, and Algarrobo. On the coast, we work regularly in Frigiliana, Nerja, Torrox, Torre del Mar, and the wider Vélez Málaga area.
